Thanks for your replies. I am not at my home address right now as I have had to go away with my job at short notice. (If you have not looked at my profile info I'm in the Armed forces). I will continue this ASAP.

If the skin is not to your liking you can change it with one of the ones made by esq or follow his info on how to make your own. Find it all

Don't worry about the links, this is long since outdated. Look at the last post, dated April 16.

The easiest way to stop autopatch is to open the version.dat in notepad and replace the number with 9999. Bear in mind that if you overwrite the version.dat while patching manually, you will need to do this again.

You can also use the blacknull switch in the shortcut.

Finally, look at this for another option:
