What about the new packet struct of the latest patch?
I think your guys are doing some good job even the code beign outdated, keep up with the good job
ps: th3n00bzor or anyone, theres any mysql api on c# that you can recommend? When i come back from vacations i wanted to try to port the server to mysql :P

K hybrid, lol, just im a n00b with packets.
Not with C#, just packets.
Anyhow, yes the char selector can be removed, but i dont like it not there.
Btw hybrid, im not sure, but using Etain's and Choco's post's, couldn't the server be made to accept the new client?

It can, and it wont be hard, but you'll have to find yourself how to fix it cose i dont have time for that. But i dont think it'll be really hard. Maybe they ommitted some changes too...

Yes, I dont figure it will be very difficult.
However, as I said, I am a "n00b" with packets.
And ive searched google billions of times, but cant find anything useful about packets.
Do you know of any good resources on the net to learn to deal with packets?

This project is the best way to learn C# and Packets, you can study on it...you dont need tutorials.

You know before beginning this project i didnt know anything on Packets and C# but now i'm able to make some softwares just cose i studied this Project (btw i'm off from now to the 4th July, good hollydays everyone !).

vdragon it is pretty easy to port to mysql as i have done it with no knowledge of c# all you need is the .net connector from mysql.com
also i am about to start workin on npcs could someone posibly tell me what exactly u have managed to do so far?

Look at page 42 I think it is, and it has Ideo's guard command. It can be used with all NPCs/meshes. Ideo has also accomplished the ability to attack NPCs(Im pretty sure).
I have managed to spawn multiple NPCs, and im taking a break now, when I get back, ill start on making the NPCs permanent, even after map change, or leave map.
During my break, im going to attempt to create a remote admin program, and have the server auto-start, no login, no listen button.
Ill post sources when I do them

k thx i had a thoery bout makin npcs permanent i think all ya have to do is add the npcs info to the arraylist for that map and it should spawn just like it does with chars may give it a try soon
1 more question where can i find the number to spawn things other than guards ive managed to get a few by puttin random numbers in but i mostly get errors

The same can be said for XYNetSockets, however XYNetSockets has been so heavily modified that I should've written it from scratch (which is one of the reasons for the server re-write).
