common sense, delete everything from C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\ini\StartGame.ini and then just delete the C:\Program Files\Conquer 2.0\zftqat folder which is the antivirus prog

You never know...
Well the front end purpose of their anti-virus scanner could be to scan for trojans and such, but lets remember programming 101...not everything that actually is going on behind the scenes is actually displayed as something through the gui and/or command line that you as a user can witness occuring. In otherwords they could possibly now or use it in the future as a "front" to host scan programs to search for authorized programs on your hard disks or perhaps running in memory. Similar principle to things such as "the warden" in diablo 2.
With that said I took a step further than just changing a string in a file. I made sure that none of that new content in that folder has the possibility of running, being altered, deleted, etc by changing the NTFS permissions on the zftqat folder setting the local_computer\Users group to Deny Modify (Deny everything but full control) so that if anything in anyway attempts to do anything with that folder it simply will not work, period. That if future patches contain those same files or replacement files, you dont have to remember to reset or change those files again because the installer will not be able to touch that folder. And for heavens sake do not be an ignorant user and deny full control to the users group because then you wont be able to do anything to the folder at all (like change permissions) in case you need to for some reason in the future. Otherwise you will have to go through the trouble of changing ownership on the folder and all that jazz which is a serious pain in the ***.

TQ is uber stupid, they included MS C++ 6.0 runtime dll in the "anti-virus" folder, when it's coded in vb .

lol, what if, u will get banned when u log in without their anti virus...they might put the antivirus as a sign that u really "log in" fairly...if ur char logs in and they cannot find ur ip through their anti virus, they might think that u delete it, and it is stated in their rule that editing the game in any ways will make u ban....
POSSIBLE???

yea, im running vist atm, basicly your ini folder is read only, but then again so is ur co2.0 folder, and on top of that ****. . .if you change it, you will notice that it doesnt really change, due to the security settings put in place by vista predetermining what files which user has the option to modify. play in the security tab of the conquer2.0 folders property section and make it so you(the user) can modify the whole file tree beneath this folder and then you wont have a problem. I just did it no and it was a pain cause im still new to vista, but the more i useit the more i realize how the good far outweighs the bad and how much more powerful vista is then xp. woot vista?? na, i wont go there just yet lol.

Don't forget that if you are using vista, you may need to manually move the file to be edited to your desktop, then edit it, and then place it back to the co folder via draging.
