What are screenshot cleaners/how do they work? Sorry for the noob question. Tried to search around but couldn't find solid answers

Games have screenshot folders, anti-cheats will snap screenshots and search through the folder to see if you're cheating.

Screenshot cleaners are designed to prevent this from happening.

We can just delete that folder and put on read only ?

No. It rewrites if you try to change any of the attributes for the anti-cheat to function.
