can you understand that cabal DOESNT WORK on WINDOWS?! it works ONLY on linux. the DB is in WINDOWS, the cabal server files are in LINUX

those files are in GM tools repack v3.0 or v2.0 that is posted here. you got more luck at rage.zone (without the dot), search it on google.

Hey i have downloaded SQL 2000 but its espanol??? I cant understand. Can i not turn to english or german? OR must i download new in other language? -.-

EDIT i got sql 2000 in english now. I cant install.

what cant u understand from my question?you think i dont know that?

) i was just wondering if any server moved the db on linux so they dont have to operate with windows also.

I have a couple of questions:

To set all this up it doesn't have to be Centos 4.5 specifically does it. Would Centos 5.2 be fine or would it be to hard due to diff setups or conflicts. I mean i know when version changes of OS they change allot of other things.

1 more thing, would i be pretty safe if i ran the server in somewhere other then United states where i live. I know the USA has allot of laws and stuff. Ive notice that the CN always say that is for some violence research or testing which i guess kind of covers there ***. I dunno if thats true, i just see it on evey website.

yeah, in US it's the WORST country to host a private server. they got a lot of laws and things about this stuff. China isn't LIKE that,but yeah, you saw what happened to xCabal and the first private servers.
CentOS part -> yes, it can be ANY centOS, but it got changes, so, you gotta look on it.

@Mirceagab - i don't think you understand me. SQL DOESN'T RUN ON LINUX. now you understand that phrase? ok lemme spell it. S-Q-L D-O-E-S-N'T R-U-N O-N L-I-N-U-X. ok?
i see what your problem is. on the server you are hosting on, you can install VMware and instal centOS in it. it's not THAT hard. VMware is a virtual PC (desktop)

omg shrykull i tought vmware is a pancake.And why do you say sql doesnt work on linux.Maybe you talk about the .mdf from the folders and MS sql.i managed to transoform the mdfs for Mysql that works on linux.Thats why i ask cus i am workig on it and i wanted to know if is useless or not.dont try to look smarter than u are..seriously ;p

And one more question,how do i get internet on centOS from vmware.On nat is only for localhost and that stupid bridge connection is not working.i even tried to installl centOS as a primary pc system.On 2 different computers the internet didnt worked.is centos known for this bug?

no, you don't have to look smarter than you are. do you realise cabal uses linux + windows right? anyway, don't listen to me, w/e. no, you just have to use your brain for connecting the centOS to the internet. f.e. looking at the network setup? ^.^
