Hello everyone.

Since everyone believes that changing a character name is a hard thing and only "Wanda" or few others can do it, I am gonna post this.



Step 1:
Create a new Character


Step 2:
Give it a name, something like "BadAssHell", this might be taken already, but won't stop us from doing what we want to do. Wait for the "Join beginner guild" thing and DO NOT PRESS YES OR NO!


Step 3:
Attach Cheat Engine if not already attached and search for the text "BadAssHell".


Step 4:
Since this name was never used in the game and there is no other relation to it, there will only be one address, and hey, it is even green, which means it is a static address, so it will never change.


Step 5:
Change the value of the address to the name you want to have.


Step 6:
Press YES or NO at the "Join beginner guild" thing and hey hey, your name is changed!



Facts to might wanna know:

• You can NOT have a name which is already taken
• You can have special chars in your name, but only some work like [](){} (only a few)
• If you create a new char, make sure you enter enough letters, here is why:
  
  New char name: asdf
  Changed name: [GM]trololol
  Final name: [GM]
  
  This means you need to have the same or more letters while creating the character ingame than the name you want to change it to.

why more then a half of this forum members are so brainless?...I understand that you are a noob, and I admit that I'm not too good at this but at least I'm trying....Most of you wants to take all cheats without contributing even less and you think that these people who are giving you this hacks are your slaves.
Give them a break.
If you can't put your brain at work even less than stop cheating and try to play fair.

i have a version without beginner guild. when i create a char and scan for the name i get 1 green adresse when i create a new char then again and change the green adresse and create the char than its [GM]example in the char window. but.. when i log in worldsvr then its the normal name again :/ dont know what i do wrong , maybe someone knows

If there is no "Join beginner guild" dialog, then try and enter a name which is already taken (not one of the names that is already on the current account), then press create.

There should be the message like "This name has already been taken". Now search for the name. If there are more than one addresses, then try it again with another - already taken - name.

You should end up with a few addresses. If you are unsure which one to choose, don't hesitate and change all of them, that's a dirty method, but should always work

i get 1green adresse, when i change it to [GM]example and create char, in the char select window its [GM]example but when i enter the world then its just the normal name again

Klingt komisch, wenn du es wirklich so gemacht hast wie ich es eben gesagt habe, sollte dabei alles rund laufen.

Wenn alles nichts hilft dann probier doch mal einen neuen Char zu erstellen und nach dem Erstellen nach dem Namen zu suchen. Dann alle Adressen übernehmen, den Char löschen und alle Adressen zu deinem gewünschten Namen zu ändern. Dann genau auf dem selben Slot wo dein gelöschter Char war einen neuen erstellen mit den geänderten Adressen.

Wenn das nicht hilft dann weiß ich ehrlich gesagt auch nicht mehr weiter, weil bei den meisten reicht schon das was ich zuvor geschrieben habe

ich mache es ja wie du sagst alles.. ich finde jja auch eine statische adresse und wen ich die verändere und den char erstelle, dann ist im charakter fenster auch der gewünschte name.. nur wenn ich dann in ****** ice stehe ist der name nichtmehrda.. vllt haben die das bei simp/mystery gefixt oderso?

Glaube nicht das die das gefixt haben. Hast die Adressen auch eingefroren? Ist zwar nicht notwendig, aber wenn gar nichts mehr hilft dann vllt so :P
