Got the same problem as Zero, i am struggling to find the costume files. Actually it should be possible to swap them out easily, i guess finding them is the hardest part ..

so have you guys seen the new +15 items? i dont really like them but im digging the horrowhalloween weapon skins. id post some pics but i dont know how

+15 Armor Effects

Ok so i found the effects files for the +15 armors. Thats the best i can do. But it seems that they only have forcium thru stit armors (05-01).
Pictures show sigmetal +15 shine on shineguard with and without armor.
Its pretty ugly like the weapons.
moar info: files found in EFX/special. they are called "armsuit_m_fx_05"
arm probably meaning armor and m which is the male file.

Anyone know the Lycanus Skin name?

I wana change Snow Star (red) to Lycanus Dikatana / Greatsword

Cheers for reply, I tried it, deleted 2h_bld_star.efx (pitems folder) and renamed 2h_bld_09.efx and put it in pitems folder to no effect, anyone know what im doing wrong?

Just to clarify its a weapon costume/skin the red snow star Great Sword

I think the one im getting wrong is the snow star skin, cos even when i deleted it it worked perfectly as the normal weapon costume.

I'm not sure I completely understand what you are asking for but Imma take a guess that you want to know how I get those glowey things on my shineguard armor.
First of all, that glow is the visual effect when you +15 male sigmetal armor. The files are found in FX/EFX/Special. I put it on my Shineguard because thats the only armor I had that was +6 (+16 doesn't look good on +0 gear).
Secondly, getting that glowing +16 effect requires knowledge of switching buff skills. I use the Force Shielder Class because they have 3 visually permanent buffs: shield harden, crushing blade and mighty wish. That way I could buff myself and have all the armor parts show up. For this I changed my Shield Harden, "mbuff_keep__250.efx" to the SigMetal Plate +16, "armsuit_m_fx_04.efx". My Crushing Blade, "mbuff_keep__248.efx" to the boots, "armboot_m_fx_04.efx." And Mighty Wish, "sbuff_keep1h202.efx" to the gloves, "armgloves_m_fx_04.efx".
Note that: M=male and W=woman. 05=Forcium, 04=Sigmetal etc.
You might be thinking why I didn't show the +16 helm effect and thats becuase I didn't find any files for that.
If you wanted to do that for other classes, it might be harder since Wa/Bl only have soul blade and aura barrier? and Wi/Fa don't really have many buff visuals...to my knowledge.

Hmm...i've only changed equipped weapons like osm blade to star blade but never star blade to osm blade. The reason being that i don't own any costume skins so I don't really have an exact answer. The problem might be that its a weapon skin and it doesnt work because of that.
Or maybe you didnt create a copy of 2h_bld_09.efx when you renamed it to 2h_bld_star.efx? Make sure a copy of the lycanus greatsword is in the arms folder along with the renamed copy in pitems.

By upload the buff effects do you mean to upload the actual swapped-and-then-renamed files? Because I won't do that. Not just because I don't know how to but I'm pretty sure I just explained how to do it a few months ago. if you really want to but can't understand how I did it in my post, give me an alternate email or something. I hate using this forum to explain how to file swap.

hi narc. in your previous post you mean with sigmetal plate = the armor file? or only the glow? sorry but we dont have the update yet so we still dont have those armsui_mfx on fx/efx/special folder. anyway, can you upload the +15 effects? each type of armor has its seperate file? sigmetal=armsuit_m_fx04, what if osm?

to get the best result for fx you should change both the efx and ebm file of that weapon. all swords have .ebm files which mean you can change the look of titanium and below weapons but since they only have .ebm files, only the model will change and not the efx. osm and above on the other hand have both ebm and efx so changing both will give the maximum look for your weapon.

Hey, this is a guide how to change weapon attributes! First of all you need the itemtype.dat Editor from pfj511. You can see the Thread Here. Step 1 Open your database 'my'. Now you have to open the table 'cq_itemtype'. Step 2 Now click on 'Edit' -> 'Find'(Look there up left). Now type in the ItemID you want to edit. For example we can take the SuperDemonSongSword. The Item Id is 420244.
