Restart the bot and go to settings again (don't press login before you changed your settings), you should be able to change it then.

If you use the default settings 20 minutes for the building queue. But attacking the farmers will start already after a few minutes.

Go to View->Settings before clicking any other thing. When you press login you can no longer change the server settings. (After you restart the bot you can change it again).

does it not work if beginner protection is on?

The bot works always, it doesn't matter if you are in beginners protection or not.
There are only 4 things that you really need to check:
Username
Password
Main server
Server
Check those settings again and make sure they are correct. (There is also a nice guide at the first post of this topic that explains everything  )

@Utharnl Will v2 sort farmer towns by distance to our town?
I installed visual studio today, and compiled from the 1.9.7 source, tomorrow I will try to add the sort the farms by distance, I don't study programming in school but will try to do something that works.
I would be very happy to test the v2 source, if you let me.

Not sure there are specific coordinates for each farmer in the html source... and there's no way you can use that theorem if you don't have those coordinates.
But you can however target each farmer and get the travel distance for a specific unit and compare those with the other farmers. But this will cost a lot of time:
You have to send 8 http request to the server for each island, if you have 50 cities it takes already 400 http requests to get all the information which makes the bot very slow.
About version 2.0, I'll release the first beta version when they release Grepolis 2.0.

How will be the building queue?
Always thought it as a listbox with drag and drop support for reordering it,
and displaying the server queue too.

The building queue and unit queue are currently looking like this:
To remove a building from the queue you can double click on it. Further more it's also possible to enable the checkbox "target". This way the bot will choose which building it will make first.

The target is Nice, but it would be better if we could make multiple templates independent from towns. Like template with name "Attack town", then we would assign it to the town(s) we want to be an attack town.
