[Release] Grepolis 2 bot

Currently doing some final tests for the Auto Cave feature after that I'll update the guide to explain all the new features/changes.

The priority works like this, a town with priority 1 is given the highest priority.
With the priority the bot chooses how often a town is updated. A town with priority 1 is updated every time and a town with priority 2 is updated once every 2 cycles, etc.

ah yes utharnl last version 2.2.2.0.7 has a bug the setting desappeards I means that when going into setting nothing appears in the windows, have u seen this before?
server version is 2.27.20855 french servers

yes the last version is the same I have not game setting anymore onlu the account settings the game settings desappeared they are empty!

the menu on the left you click on settings ans inside u have game settins and account settings so the game settings is empty nothing appeareds anymore it is like that since version 2.2.2.7 the last version is the same

Could you download it again? You seem to be the only person with this problem.
I have tried to delete my Config folder and start the bot but even then my settings aren't empty.

I downloaded again but nothing change the versin 2.2.2.6 have not this problem but have not cave option, to change de settings I have to connect with firefox,

also did explorer 10 work with bot?

Running the Enable_IE9.reg file will enable the bot to use the latest version of IE installed on your pc. If you can play Grepolis with IE10 it will also work when using the bot.

I'm sure why you need to use Firefox to change your settings... This problem that you have, is it with the settings of the bot or are you talking about the ingame settings of Grepolis?

The Grepolis developers made a mistake. You get the same problem if you visit the site with IE.
We'll have to wait until they fix it again.

Firstly I would like to thank you for this great tool. It is really great! In fact I like it so much, that I decided to donate some money. I already received my unlock file, worked like a charm.

I am just wondering if there may be a bug regarding the "culture festivals feature"? I activated it in some of my towns but unforturtanetly this seems not to work. And yes, there are enough ressources and I would be able to start it myself in the game. Does this work for you?


Then, I wondered about the logic behind the "cast spell" feature. I also activated the spell feature in some towns. I expected that it would only cast the spells if there is something to build and that no spell is casted if there is nothing to build. In fact spells were casted in towns where there were no free citizens were left. Is this intenantionally or is this feature based on the queue settings? I sometimes set up higher queue numbers that are possible in the towns. I would prefer if we could choose for example that a spell is only casted if there are at least XX (or XX%) free citizens in a town.

And finally, is there a seperate section for additional feature requests?

Just checked the "culture festivals feature" and it's working fine here. Where did you check the resources, in the browser tab or at the Queue tab?
The browser tab isn't refreshed automatic, you have to press F5 before it shows the correct amount of resources.

The "spell casting" feature still needs some improvements. Currently it only checks if your population is higher than 0 and if there is something in your queue.

I stopped adding new features since last month:

I'll only work on bug fixes and small improvements now.

I checked the ressorces in the Browser Tab. And I also startet a cultural festival from there. So there were enough Ressources availabe. Town capacity was completely full. I will check this the next days again. Maybe I just was to impatient.

Sorry, but I have to bother you some more. I am unable to get the notification by email set up correctly. I do have an gmail account, I enter my details there and when I hit run test it says:

"Problem sending mail

I did not change the port, only entered my email and password. I usully get my mails from my gmail account via IMAP, ist this a problem? Do I need to change anything?

Ok, let me know when you notice something odd with the cultural festivals. Also in the bot directory you'll find a file called log.txt, could you open it and search for "Cultural event started". That way it's easy to see if the bot started any cultural festival.

The email feature has 4 important settings. Those are:
User Name: You full gmail address (***@gmail.com)
Password: ***
Server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587

Server and port should be the same as above and your username should include @gmail.com

If you already have this you could try to following. Because the bot uses IE it sometimes has problems with the cache of IE.
-Close the bot
-Start IE and go to gmail.com
-Login to gmail.com
-Logout of gmail.com
-Close IE
-Try the email feature of the bot again.

Using the IMAP protocol shouldn't have any influence as far as I know.
