A collection of things as random as my mood and personality.
Early-game, mid-game, and end-game

Hello elitepvpers, today I’ll be talking about the fun of gaming (as always). First I have to start this thing with a few questions. Why do we play? What game-play experience do we get?
Starting a new game is very difficult, we don’t know the rules, we don’t know what some skills/items do, but knowledge is not the most important thing. Many of us don’t want to start a new game because we don’t want to go through the painful process of leveling. We log-in, make a character, and start the mindless grinding, maybe grab a few quests. Sometimes it’s a real pain when you have to kill the same old boring monsters in every game. The quests are “go kill 10 wolf cubs, 10 bears, and maybe 5 boars”. They all look the same, in every game.
The mid-game is a relatively fun experience, the monsters are more impressive, our skills are a lot more colorful, we know a lot more about the game by now, and maybe we’ve even made a few friends. But the principal still stays the same, gain experience (EXP) in any way possible. Now it’s all about the amount of game currency that we have, we save some money for more epic gear, we plan our build, we are constantly looking for a powerful guild (brotherhood, family, clan, in other words just some powerful players). By now we’ve got a good taste of the game, and we want more…
The end-game, that’s the most fun we can have, we are powerful, the monsters we kill are as big as buildings. We have the some epic, overpowered, flashy, blinding gear. By now we should have found some powerful friends we enjoy playing with, made enough money, so it’s no longer a problem. And this is the time we can truly enjoy our gameplay, PvP, massive boss battles, battle arena’s, guild wars, siege (not a lot of games have this, but it’s getting very popular). But I see a problem, yes, we unlocked everything in the game, yes we can “own” anyone in a pvp, yes we can fight any monster we want in the game, yes we know everything about the game we are playing, so what now? We have achieved everything we strived for, we have completed ever quest there is, and kill every monster in the game. The only bad thing about the end-game, is that it’s the end.
Conclusion: we play games because we want to have a good time, and we like the fun in-game moments, but every game comes to an end, so we should just savor the moments.
