New WOI server any one?

So my first question would be why are you starting a server? Is just for money or are you trying to actually make a decent Woi server where people can play and enjoy the game? I'm honestly not trying to be negative here, but long time players have seen lots of people start servers trying to get as much money off them as they can, then shut down the servers without any notice whatsoever. Most people would be glad to have a well run server to play on.
As for ideas, this is only my opinion, but I have never seen any zen system work without having people abuse it and having an unfair advantage, so maybe you can go with a free zen market, and have other things available as donation items? Things like Deicide Crystals, Zeus Wings, Oracle Mail, pets like Aphrodite, Dark Venus and Apollo? I mean I'm sure people would pay for those things to get them, but regular players that can't donate also have the chance to get them in game as well so it wouldn't be totally unbalanced, donators would just get them quicker and can help fund the server as well. There's a lot of people, like myself lol, that sometimes feel that servers become totally unbalanced when only donators can get certain things, or just have a huge advantage with zen that regular players just can't keep up with. This way, people can pay for those things to get them quicker, but everyone still can get them over time. And people that want to donate to the server to support can do that as well, what do you think?

To your answer, prob be both. I have no interest in starting something then shutting it down. Hope I have shown a bit of that by taking the time to post here and ask the thoughts of other players like your self.

I am not looking to start an OP type server, and as I get closer to opening it I will post more things that I have in mind. I will work on a few ideas to bring more of a balance to non donators. Because I do want people to be able to play who can not donate and still have a chance. It doesn't mean it will be given a way for free.

As for the zen system, I will try to give away free zen and prevent abuse. If I see abuse I will of course need to tweak or toss the whole system and do something else.

Ah good then, and yes its very good to see an owner take part in things like this and be active. As for the zen system, I have no problem actually playing the game to earn things lol, its just that a lot of times with abuse and things like that it makes it hard to be putting in so much effort when people can just easily cheat and have things easier. I think you understand what I meant? So as long as you can do your best to prevent that, then it would be ok, since there should be a balance between free people and donators, or just not make things completely impossible for people who can't keep up with them, that's what I meant.
About other ideas, what about server level? That's been one of the problems on other servers, is that you can't do certain events like Territory War and Demon Raiders and things like that for a very long time because the server isn't at a high enough level.

I am still learning much about the game. There are many layers Can you tell me more about what you mean? You are asking about the servers level, do you mean it's max level?

And tell me more about the issue. You are talking like it's a global issue with every ones level? Or are you saying it takes players a long time to reach the correct level in order to enter them self?

Ok so someone can correct me if anything is inaccurate here, or if they have something else to add, but basically the server has at least 3 or 4 levels, and there might be a 5th one in the newest patch, I don't know for sure. When the server just starts out its at level zero I think, and no one can do events like Territory War (one of the biggest legion events along with Siege of Rights which may also depend on server level) and other events like Baal's Demon Raiders (used for getting items for the strongest sets of gear), and there's a few extra things in there as well such as Elite Novice Quests for gear, although most people don't bother with that anyways, and an exp boost depending on the server level also. You need a certain amount of players to reach a certain level for the server to level. So say you need 100 players to reach level 100 for the server to upgrade to level 1, then need that many to reach level 110 or 120 for the next one? Its different numbers for each level and I'm not sure the exact amount for each, but yeah if the server itself isn't a high enough level, then no one can do any of those events until its leveled up. It is possible for you to level it up manually so all those events can still take place though, that's what I was suggesting, since the people who start in the beginning won't be able to do that stuff at all until a lot of other players level up.

Well Pandora have right in this ... but before you do those things, you need to have a stable project and everything fix .. like that problem with lvl of server to be your last problem because let be serious at low lvl you can't do teritory war or Riders ... but yea there should be a way to lvl up it or like pandora said you need players to be lvl 100, and if i'm not mistake for a lvl 4 server you need around 420 accounts of lvl 100 but i'm not sure and Pandora your ideeas with Deicide and other thing as donation is a very very bad ideea because you kill instant the server with those.. cause 1 donator can got those things in 1 day and a normal player need atleast 1 week with full farm and playing almost 24/24 hours ... so definetly not because to earn your up materials .. or pets or material for deity gear is part of the game .. so let it be part of it and make it free and let people enjoy those .. if you want balance, then you need to find different ways ...definetly that not balance to 1 player get instant all what he want and others need to work weeks to get those and also players who want to support the server with money , they will be there and will help as time as server is stable and good and with 0 corruption,0 favoritism and 100% devotation... and for you Kooladd i just want to say, read every topic and prepare very good .. as i said, you need to be serious and you need a serious staff to support you to can make a good job a

The only accurate way to upgrade the server level is to manually create 350-500 characters above level 100.
