Thinking of a new server

Don't mean to rush development of server and if it's not too rude to ask; is there an update on server status or a possible ETA?

Stocks came in just yesterday, but ran into some issues where the payment for the hosting is being declined due to international waters.. Trying to resolve it with the hosting company and my bank.

Bought the server now, expecting to get things setup by the weekend but can't promise anything.

btw, i suppose your files are rather bugless, but are you starting with a beta (and a wipe after), or are you going with a live version right from the beginning?

I would assume a beta as he said earlier he is a bit rusty on some of this so I would hope for a beta then wipe just to be on the safe side of things

My views right now is to just launch it straight up, and then if there are any gamebreaking issues there will be a wipe. But if there's not, then I'll just leave it be. I'm not expecting to have to wipe, tho.

I've done all the changes through Git so compiling a list of changes shouldn't be too hard. Just hard in the cases where I've been lazy in the commit messages and simply written something like "Changed a bunch of ****"..

I am not really worried about what changes you made to be honest as long as those lvl 3 scorpions dont kill me over and over

Did quit playing BOI for a long time now , been on all those CRAP private servers that opens ... and all i could see is DONATE . I said myself , u never win againgst a donator .

Went back playing Flyff , and found quite a nice server . NO DONATION AT ALL .
But , Owner is developer same time . New maps , New mobs , New Items ( Not overpowered ) that drops in game killing bosses .
If a player is going to see you that u can develop a server they will donate you without asking anything back .

I did donate so far on that server 200 $ , the reason ? Gm listens to players , Developer is active and everyday something new , Useless Quests been remade and if u make them they give huge rewards .


If u open a new BOI Server , NON-DONATE . If u want i will help you out paying for VPS . As long as you are willing to listen players suggestions , Develop server ( New things ).

P.S. The only thing u couldnt get drop from that server was HAPPY MONEY .
Happy money u obtain from VOTING for server .
Happy Money Shop : Weapons / Armours that drop on a dungeon but have a little more attack and stats.

Right now I'm stuck on some issue that I haven't ever had before on BOI, so a bit stumped.. Not sure I can make it till the weekend.

Edit: Oh wow, literally a minute after posting that I fixed it. Now I'm stuck on another issue that I have experienced before, but cannot remember how to fix...

what issue? I have ran into about 400+ so far so i know alot of the fixes lol

All good, I fixed it last night. Everything appears to be working for now.

I uploaded clients and stuff last night, I'll post them later today so that people can download it before server goes up. It will be sometime on friday, is my goal.

There is a suggestion. Bring back questing alive. Run here, run there, fiight a cow, pick up a spoon and, of course, some quests are in red zones so pvps will happen more often.

Truthfully I don't see that happening. Not only are they a ***** and a half to edit, but there's also waay too many.

Let's say I invest time making 1 quest, that's probably gonna take like 3-4h including the testing period, coming up with the idea around it, and actually implementing it. And it'd probably take less than 15min for a user in-game to complete the quest.

The time it takes to implement stuff like that, and considering the fact that most likely no one would do them anyway, makes it not so worth it.
