It keeps our community exclusive and it's an added security layer that goes on top of our already very secure cheats. Nobody is being forced to submit such information, they can simply go elsewhere and not say anything at all if they don't want to proceed.
We've been doing this for years, we take it extremely seriously and deal with everything professionally and confidentially and we've never faced an issue. Only I can see the applications that are submitted too, not even our staff can see them and I'll even delete the information upon request as soon as it has been processed.
We also encourage people to cover the most sensitive parts of their ID and even add watermarks for safety and peace of mind. It's probably not as intrusive as you think - you're more likely to give considerably more information to a random eBay or Amazon seller because they need your address, phone number and things like that, but we don't.
