So, do you guys think that the text 'Item possessed' is sent from the server? No way.. It's the client that recognize a specefic ID/Type for the item, and if it's set to the value x it will send the text Item Possessed.
Besides, why else would they include itemdatatable and those files in the client if not the server reads from them.. Pretty logic, ain't it?
You can even chane the lvlrequirement of a weapon or armor in itemdatatable and it shows ingame but u cant use it if you dont have the (serversided) required level.
If an Item is possessed is written in the collumn "BoundType" where for realm parts is 1. You can remove the numbers or change to 2 and the item stays possessed.
Files on the client side are only for displaying values on the client. I guess the server sends only pointers which data to display.
DropRate and DropRank could also be changed but wont change anything ingame.
They introduced a new DropRank in Ep3 (5) so only mobs in new realms can drop it. If it would be changed to 4, it would be dropped like an elite and could be dropped by other mobs in the old world.
But in itemtemplate.ini is no link to BoundType or DropRate.
For unique items and Guard Armors are the stats in column OptionTID which referrs to the TID in itemoptiontable.txt
in fact, here are the comparison on two knight's armor (one realm :Armour of Cross and the other : Flasharm Armor trade possible).
I remove the same attribute on the 2 armors.

I got the 'item possessed' text to be removed, so it's definately sending a packet into the item class, realm is probably a boolean, and anyone who's fimiluar with programming languages know what that is, rest, here:

So, it's updating a type or a ID to 1 whenever you make a item to a realm item. I belive it could be a specefic type/ID for realm, OR there could be the realm ID somewhere in the itemid, like it ends with 1 or 0.
Anyhow, once I finished changing the item so the server recognizes it as non realm item, I could do tons. Changing level of items, cost, sell price, class, MAYBE even attack, which will ruin the game completely. I'm not aiming anywhere near this, to make archlord ruined, I'm just doing these stuffs for experience.
