I doubt that any single oryginal creator of AL left in NHN.

i dont think they gutted nhn in the purchase...
there are surely people still around who made it.

however, that is probably the problem.
The AL GMs have mentioned (on more than 1 occasion) how horrible the game was made, and everything you try and put ontop of it, ends up with catastrophic consequences.

Its essentially like building a pyramid upside down.
no matter how big and awesome and how much time you put into making another layer, it doesnt matter when the bottom layer is smaller than the rest.

atleast it was back in the oldies. When you would drop a lvl 3 phy res stone on a normal mob and you were suddenly rich.

the part I don't understand is why they cannot recode it. The idea is there... Just reprogram.. I am a noob in programming so maybe I am talking rubbish.

For example if you would want to "re-code" Episode 3 from Codemasters, you would be in a grate trouble, for two reason.

1. The server communicates with the Client, sending packets back and forth. You need to decrypt these packets, but the problem occurs when you realize Codemasters server is offline, so the client does not have with what it should communicate, no packets, no decrypting therefore no private server.

2. The other reason is, if you would try the Webzen client, the problem would be with the client itself -> Website log in. You would need the original alefclient with manual login.
