Here is the probable way to dupe, didn't test it out may not work. First, you need lag. Then, open two different accounts in two windows. Then trade each other. Put an item, lock and trade from the first account. Here is the tricky part, as soon as you hit push trade from the account that will get the item, from the first account, before the trade is complete, close the trade window. So, in theory, the account you put the item you put will retain the item and second account will get another dupe item. I am on vacation, did not test this one so do not flame if it doesn't work..
And, I don't care if this is working and fixed in the future due to my post.
