Well a good start is to learn assembly. If you look it up on google, there's a book called "The Art of Assembly", written ~15 years ago, published in plaintext format. I read the first few chapters, which gave me a reasonable knowledge base for editing. Writing in asm? Hell no. Knowing why editing a JZ to a JMP does that it does? Now I know.
I think he was referring to the fireball mod. I hope to God that he's referring to the fireball mod, and not the range one.Quote:
Kevsprk, due to the nature of the never miss range mod, I do strongly suggest you keep it private. If you've ever seen a high ranked elf with it, there's absolutely no way to keep up, even w/ a high ranked human ranger. The .3s ranged attack and .5s magnums simply throw the game wayyyy out of balance.
My 2 cents, anyways.
Exactly. Fireball is expensive to buy, and hard to earn. Not many people would have a high enough rank of fireball, and a large enough mp pool to actually abuse this.Quote:
xD I will probably release that one. It can't be abused by noobs, as you have to ACTUALLY HAVE fireball to abuse it
To each their own, I guess.Quote:

...Actually, you could probably fully charge thunder, start recording, fire thunder and stop recording and send that packet for max charges... Damn, why didn't I ever think of that. -.-Quote:
^How does this relate whatsoever? Are you saying that 1 charge thunder can strike as if 5 was charged?
Or are you saying r1 thunder is just worth it? If that's the case than I'm sure most of us already know that. But the point of one charge fireball allows you to release a full fireball damage for the price of 25 mana compared to the original 125. Making most things actually worth 25 mana. So no, it's not overrated.
yeah, I'm a complete idiot for taking so long on figuring out "shoot with one charge thing". I didn't look down enough lol. Amazing what one line edits can do eh? :DQuote:
Nope. The packet just says "Okay, player X is attacking monster X with skill X". Fireball only works the way it does because the damage is set at the first charge, the other charges are there just to annoy you.
