Aion - How To Change The Server Name

Hi to all. Can someone tell me where can I change the name of my Aion Server? When login it says THE RECOMMENDED SERVER IS 'TEST SERVER' and I want to change TEST SERVER for another name. Where can I change that info? Thanks in advance.

Also looking for this info, changing server name in the config doesnt do it. It says "test"

you need to set the date an the gamesever config look for GameServer ID
gameserver.network.login.gsid = 7 it it to 7 or 8 an you need to go to the gameserver date an set that with the same number an your done

Ok gotchya, i havent been foolin with this in a while due to rl activities, Im guessing i go to the database and add a server in "servers" and give it an id then add the id to the config? I think this is what you are getting at,

Server names are defined in client, if you want to add an own server name you have to modify your client and that is forbidden!

u can define any of the official server names as yours. What you cant do is name your server like "wattefak ultra imbamatic server of doom" bcuz that involves client modifying

Ok thats what I wanted to know How do I acces the official servers, so when me and my friends log in it wont say "(test) Envy" Im guessing I have to find the id for one of the "other" official serrvers in the core and use that id?

I'm not lookin to make a massivly multi played server, just something me and my firends are playingon, and its bugging me that I cant change the name of the server.

you can use the IDs from 1 to 60 i think. ID 100 is Testserver.

I see, yes ID 100 is specified in the config at the moment. Is it possible to add a server, say by doubling up on the server info inside the config and Changing one ID?

You can change the serverID, but the names are already defined ...

Got it. TO change the game server via the gameserver ID, change the game server ID in the gameserver config, then find the gameservers table in the database and change the one that is being used to what ever one you used ib the config.
The serrvers loaded fine now I'll log in to see what happens
