They won't lol. That server will be oldschool. You think people wanna go back to old style after all these great updates? Why do you think private servers are failing? It's because they can't provide newest stuff like RF. The only way to succeed in 9D is to provide latest KR things. The closest to that is RF. Anyhting else will always faill. In my opinion all the reverse engineering projects should stop and instead everyone should focus on getting the latest source code. That is the ONLY way any private server will succeed. People don't wanna play the old ***** with some louzy RE features in it. It simply is not appealing to the majority.

i know you got ample mount of IM coins for saying this but can u please make this less obvious jesus it's like reading a script

i can ******* assure you virtually nobody likes rf content because it's so ******* overboard with the stats etc

I am not a fan of RF. It is way too P2W based. But I rather play a P2W server with close to 9D KR content than an old outdated 9D version with strange looking RE features in it that might close any day without warning. Besides, tell me one private server that is as successful as the official server? In history only one guy managed to do it and it was Play9D. Why? Because they had same (and even more) content than the officials.

I am not promoting RF here, I am giving you guys the recipe to a succesful 9D private server. Problem is most 9D private server devs here simply want to prove themselfs that they got coding skills and are thinking too narrow minded. In truth the way to success is very simple. Make a 9D version which content wise is at least on the same level as the officials, the closer to KR content the better. Anything else is doomed to fail. Again, best example is Play9D. It wasn't successful because it was the first private server. It was successful because in fact they offered more features than the officials.

Why Play9D was successful:

it was basically the first big private server,
it launched just after the biggest leak in 9D history,

Points that were completely forgotten during these years:

it was a bugfest,
it had shitloads of items in IM that affected the gameplay,
it also had tons of hacks,
R3 content was stolen from KR (and caused tons of issues to the point R3 was basically unplayable).

Tell me, what kind of content Play9D offered that wasn't available on GC? KR skills? Half of them didn't work, while the other half was completely fucked up with GC stat system. Masteries didn't match, skills didn't match their descriptions. Item table was a mess.

I wouldn't call it "more features" at any point. R1 was Acclaim reborn with x20 rates, R2 was basically the same, just with banners being common stuff and with higher rates.

On the other side, see Asura - she's doing pet system and other shit I personally hate in the current state of RF/KR version of the game. But she's providing the same features, just with RE instead of stealing new files.

I'm not a fan of those approaches, I'm trying to think outside the box, but oh well, it doesn't work well most of the times. But I'm trying. And adding/removing stuff all of the time. For the last 7 years.

Well I have nothing to lose bro I enjoy playing RF but I would definitely switch to a private server if the requirements are met, critizing potential players with lots of 9d friends that all have some spare money to use on 9d is the wrong way of approaching the situation. I have many friends that wouuld follow me into a new 9d server, and I told you what we wanna see here. This is my 2 cents. Good luck.
