I choose you!
I set up server on VM local IPv4 address, properly followed ZeroBurner's guide.
Then I forwarded all the following ports successfully (except one of them, the 21070):
I checked open ports, they're confirmed to be open.
(All IP's point to VM's local IP where 9D server was installed on)
80 (http)
48300 (login server)
50001 (status server)
7411 (ms server)
25017 (hefei)
21070 (a port which is shown in the input section of the DS server - idk what it is and it cannot be opened using router admin panel! Openport checker websites keep telling me this port is closed. I tried "UDP" and "TCP" protocols but none works.)
9998 (a port which is shown inside the input section of the DS server - no idea what it does or what it is lol)
6666 (same as the above)
30000 (same)
1433 (some sql port but it's open)
Protocols are set to "both" on all ports in admin panel.
I gave my friend my public IP address and he modified the ndreg and the hosts files accordingly. He reached login screen without any problems but then he wanted to log in. He passed login server but then game server timed out. I also tried opening all possible ports ever by typing 1-65535 in the fields but same result.
Here's a pic of the login srv...while my friend was trying to join:

(Copy + paste in browser please I am new I don't have enough privilege to post media content sorry mayne)
Additional information:
- I use a home computer with these specs:
cpu: i5-4460 3.2ghz
ram: 32gb
gpu: gtx-750ti
primary boot drive with win7 x64 ultimate: fast asf SSD 250gb+
secondary storage device (that's where vmware and the files are installed on): Seagate SSHD 1TB
- Server was set up on a virtual machine with win7 x64 ultimate installed on it with the following specs:
100gb + pre-allocated disc space (not split)
bridged network mode
16gb ram
2 cpu cores
Rest of them are default settings
- Added inbound rules in firewall manually (not sure if correctly...I just put tcp 80, tcp 48300, tcp 50001 and tcp 7411 in there...lol)
- Firewall is off on my main computer, on friend's computer and on VM too.
- Router fire wall was off too, still game server timed out.
- Tried using hamachi too (set up server using hamachi IP) but it does not even show server list even though all ports are open...
Also, I'd love to know the difference between a dedicated server and a home computer. People keep telling me it's better to rent a dedicated server but why? What in the hell's name is a dedicated server? Can't I make a dedicated server at home on my own machine or what? What is it? It's dedicated because it has a fix IP? I doubt having a fix IP would be the issue here...or is it dedicated because of the hardware? My hardware is kinda fine...I guess...or am I supposed to use some server OS which is compatible with gameguard instead of a normal, casual windows os? it cracks me up.
