i agree with you, either that guy was blind and got into vn server by mistake and told us, or he just lied so he can let us publish a new delay hack. however, i tried to find it by myself and someone else tried it too and we failed (check whole comments in pages for more information)...

I've post this in another thread, but I've managed to get instant cast working now, so I don't believe it's server sided. You will have to change 2 addresses instead of one. One for the cast time and the other is the "check time". After that you can instant cast, but my problem is I can't managed to find the real addresses of these values, only managed to get to 3rd-4th level pointer and got stuck. So I have to look for them every time I load the game, so no point in posting pointer address.

Good to see smokedookee back in this forum again. I've learnt to CE hack this game with your posts, but still no where close to being good at it.

EDIT: Okay, here is what I did to get the instant cast working. There are 2 addresses that you need to change in order to get instant cast. The casting time address and the "check time", it's like a speed limit sign for roads(for those who don't know, the answer is in a post by a member in this thread). I search for the casting time of the nuke(s) i want to hack. Once I find the first pointer address I "browse this memory region" and look for the "check time" and add that address to the list and change it to 0. For those who actually know how to find the address and played with it, you'll know what the min limit of time that you can change it to before it gives you an error. Look for that (it's hex number that you'll need to look for). Once you have both addresses change them to 0 and you have instant cast. Like I said before, those are pointer address, so you'll have to search and change every time you load the game. I want the real address if someone finds it or can show me how to find the real address that would be great, so I won't have to ask for help after every patch.

I want to do away with CE since it leaves traces and can get you banned. I've programmed a memory editor of my own, but it can't do what CE does, it can only change memory values so that's why I need to find the real addresses. I will not release my programs cause I've programmed it to be flexible and so it's complicated to use. I don't want to do the support for my programs. I learnt how to write my own buff trainer and memory editor from this very site. So anyone can do what I did plus more, way more if they put the time and effort.

=) man, saweet and jase are where it's at. you've all really taken leaps forward. all i did was simple scrub work.

the only thing i never saw anyone else do was the server crash i was using. i can't remember if i finally explained here in public format how to do it. one secret about it: it didn't crash the server, it only disconnected EVERYONE's client on the map i used it on. it worked by crashing everyone's client, not just dc them. straight to the desktop. even GM's.

but i made rounds super fast between maps back then lol =)

i probably wont be around for long (as in not much after today). real life ****, as always now, is going to indefinitely take me offline for a while again. good seeing talking to you all though. hope all is well.

i haven't played since Acclaim and the VN server. i just started a char on US nirvana yesterday and starting a char on the Thai for the hell of it in a minute. packing stuff for a move and will be outta here in a few hours so i doubt i'll get far.

Talking about TWO addresses? I've only ever used one.... It's not hard. Seconds are in miliseconds in this game just search it that way...

All the instant hacks will be either 05A,05B,06A,06B,07A,07B. It varies each time you start the game. It's usually within the middle 20 addresses. If anyone needs help just PM me... Or skype me ( dtholzer )

Assuming we're talking about the G1 version here. Are you talking about after patch 130 or before patch 130? I know we only need to change 1 address for instant cast to work before patch130. But after patch 130 a few of us can only change the cast time down to half before it would give you the error and no dmg were done to the mob (a pic of the error is in a post somewhere in this thread). We were suspecting that it might've been moved server sided, but I've found out that's not the case. That's why I needed to change 2 addresses to take out that "speed bump". If what you've found is working then I'm doing something wrong here, and not searching it the right way.
