A puzzling question for the whole 4s community.

Hi everyone. I would like to know your opinion about one simple thing.
Do you think that private servers are in any way harming the official gf servers or the game in general?
For me the answer is obviously the opposite, but some idiots on youtube 4s scene who simply cannot do anything creative themselves keep claiming that private servers are whats killing the population of Gf servers and the whole game aswell.
Apparently the "argument" is that they do not want to add new content because of 'private servers'.
Maybe it is stupid to ask this here but i am sure there are many logical arguments you will come up with that rival this.

I think players prefer spending time on private servers because gf is P2W.
Let's be honest now, without spending money on official server you are nothing.
Private servers offers to you a much more than gf ( features etc. ) and you are not forced to spending money in the Cash Shop.

GF killed this game and it's not a private servers fault

The better question is, do you think that private servers are in any way harming the game? Obviously the answer is no. The private servers are for years the only real content creators for this old game.

What the hell, the (big) pserver scene began maybe in ~2013, but ZEMÎ/GF already had no interest in the game anymore since the Gor patch (to make it clear, Gor itself was not the problem).

These video creators and are dumb. They are like ZEMÎ & GF who try to find the fault of their failures in the pservers. Other MMO's have also big pserver communities, so where is the difference?
It's simple, they are simply a better alternative here. The best example is WoW, there are a lot of pserver coms and the officals are still full + get a lot of updates. In other words, players simply prefer the officals anyway, because they know its the best way to enjoy the game.
In 4S it's sadly (yes sadly, always respect the original!) the opposite, but otherwise this game would have already died.

Events, Features, Proximity to the community.
All the officials are doing is cash events.

GF killed the Game and without private Servers, they wouldn't have more players but the game would be already dead.

I do also not think, that private server are bad for 4story. The only downsider is, that no private server will ever be as big as the official server around 2010

People like him forget to consider all factors. For example, the "death" (pservers keep it alive) of the game is also a result of the change in the gaming world in generel. Nowadays the most typical MMO's are an endangered kind, players prefer fast results and single rounds (e.g. LoL, Fortnite and other crap games). Also the most are the same, only a different design or P2W state.

Old grafic standards (even if they arent worse than new games) are not interesting anymore, they don't care anymore about good written stories, characters, open world PvP with guilds etc. There will always come new MMOs, but I think that the future is ruled by games like LoL, Fortnite, EVE (even that one is limited), shooter copies (e.g. CoD, BF) and similar genres. When I played WoW, TERA, 4S and other MMOs, I only met a few who really cared about the stories, design, characters and the world concept. Thats quite sad. Just think that just the current BR hype made more news than any new released MMO since WoW.

Another point is advertising and performance. This are two extremely important things for every game. Actually you just have to fix one to help a game, but the officals can't even do one thing right. The game market is big, what do they expect to achieve without advertising or a good performance?

Next thing - players. All can only complain, but only a few would do something by themself to make it better. Or they confuse opinions with facts and continue to flame you. I think the current generation of players, especially the younger ones, think that games have to accomplish everything they want to see. Back then there were also people like this, but by far not so many. They don't respect hard work and time, they know everything better and probably 95% of all only help, if they receive a kind of reward.

Since these people cannot do anything by themselves, it is I guess hard to imagine all the time spent doing what developers do and have to do. I never knew anything about the code, but am the graphics designer behind many of the custom textures, some minor graphics for websites of servers and some maps, and the time that goes into this is pretty insane and almost without compensation. I have done most of these things simply for the love of the game. Because I could.
Now imagine these people disregard everything you did and instead attack you for killing the game. Why? because you make new content? More than GF ever did? More than Zemi did in last 4 years? Yeah that is great...

I just want to let you know that every developer that tries to create something new for this game for whatever reason has my respect, because I know best that all of your work deserves to be appreciated.

It's quite funny, many of the old 4Story legends will start playing after the Araz patch, I think it will in some manner reunite 4Story again, at least I hope.

Naja 4Story wird von GF umgebracht, und die meisten Privat Server werden von Community Member betrieben, welche 4Story lieben und für viele andere das Spiel wieder erleben lassen.
