Yea, there are alot of topics on the forum page with some good files. Just follow the exact steps and you can play the game.
Had the same problem at home and it worked just fine. The weird thing is that when i installed the game at work patching worked normally. I guess it depends on the system or idk..
If you can't find it on hungames forum, go here -->
dowload this archive, extract it, copy all the files, go to your twelvesky 2 folder, paste the files then click on "copy and replace".
Your game should work.
