[PE]Perfect Fossil Restore

Yesturday, after 2 months I managed to get a reply from

She/He said that this is "easily" done with a Packet Editor. That's pretty much all I can get out of her/him.

I'm trying to look into this with rPE to see if it's possible.

Basically: All you have to do is just press Complete and whether or not you damaged the fossil or even clean it at all, you will still get perfect restore.

So basically, get a fossil. Start recording, click complete and stop recording?

Find that packet that sends the complete message or the perfect restore?

Interesting... I shall look into this :3 As soon as i get to mining again =.=

that's correct, it should be easy to do that by using my fossil macro and using it on the fossil that can get a perfect on it and record it before you hit complete.

From there, I don't know what packet we're really looking for though.

Wait... we should run the macro first?

the guy in the video didnt have to run a macro:S

I was thinking of just recording when i start fossiling and just press complete e.e

Edit: Just ran rPE with fossils.

Got 13 packets. I started recording from rightclicking and using the macro.

theres a large amount of 10 sized packets. but on the 10th packet its sized 52 hmmmm

It looks like that 5kb packet contains the "where you clicked" data. the size 10s are insignificant. The 21 is interesting. So is the 52.

I'll look when I get home =D

That's why you open the fossil minigame, start recording, click complete, end recording.

10s are irrelevant.

did you try to send the 2nd one and then restore the same type of fossil? that might work

i think each fossil type has a different code tho

o .o that actually got me a small idea too, ima look into getting rewards from em (llava cat )

Hmm that would be annoying....
But good idea.

I think the chance reward for lava cat is server sided.

I just remembered that rPE doesnt save sendlist -.-

Remember what information you MUST tell the server for it to know what you're doing. Which fossil are you restoring? I would imagine that would be included in the packet. If you only send 1 packet, it must be in that packet.

Just blindly resending packets'll get you nowhere. Think about it. When's a logical time to tell the server which item you're using?

When you press use?

I wasnt blindly sending packets.

I thought the end packets were the ones that control the outcome :S

I don't have access to my main comp yet, but have you guys tried this?

Get a failed fossil packet
Get a barely fossil packet
Get a perfect fossil packet (Easily obtainable for tibia, skull, or scapula on my macro)

To compare them atleast?

What you want to do is look at the packets for multiple instances of the same fossil. The 5kb might very well just be a binary bitmap of your fossil. See if the other packets differ from 1 fossil attempt to the next. I don't have fossils atm so I can't try.

My theory is that the use packet tells the server which fossil (Item ID #), the 5kb one is the state of the fossil, and the last 2 packets contain some info to tell the server that you're done. Granted, that might not make sense because once you send the 5kb packet you're done.

Iono >.<

I have been looking since the patch this morning, and I can not seem to find the file for the fossil image. I am thinking it may be generated by the server, such as the dye palette. I was wondering if there is any way to do some sort of bypass for it, like fishing, or stop the timer?
