On December 8th, action game "Hitman" will be released within the context of the same-named series around hitman agent 47, an emotionless gene experiment. In the course of this, developer IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix focus on a marketing policy that is clearly in contrast to common methods. Although the game is to be sold as a full game title at the beginning, it will be far from finished. The developers will add new missions, events and content piece by piece that will expand "Hitman" and create new possibilities over time. Once this process has been completed, a disc version of said shooter will be available commercially. The first version will be distributed digitally only.

What buyers of the first version can expect of its content couldn't be clarified in recent months. IO Interactive stated that buyers of digital version will be able to take part in onetime, unique events. According to that, said events will not be repeated and are available for a certain period only. Now there is a further information regarding the primary content. In the official
Amazon product description, there is talk of "seven new missions" of "Season One".
At upcoming games fair Penny Arcade Expo, short form PAX, in Seattle, Square Enix and IO Interactive will introduce a mission called "Showstopper" via livestream. Said mission comes from "Hitman" and can be seen on Twitch and YouTube.
