In celebration of this year's Gamescom in Cologne, a shot interview came up with Drew McCoy, the producer of the upcoming multiplayer first-person-shooting game "Titanfall", which shows, apart from McCoy's statements, a bunch of gameplay material from the game's multiplayer mode. An edit of interview and gameplay was published in cooperation with publisher Electronic Arts and development studio Respawn Entertainment. The producer heavily foregrounds that the multiplayer mode contains many elements of the singleplayer, hence, a fusion of both versions will take place. Introductory stories for the different levels are included, which are going to compose a picture step by step.
According to official statements, in "Titanfall" one will dip into a completely new universe, in which opposites meet. Nature and technique as well as human and machine are going to be central as opponents and simultaneously in combination as playful additions. A distant borderland, which has been split up due to a war, is said to serve as venue for gripping fights and missions. The player is able to decide whether he operates as an elite fighter pilot or as a giant but still quite manoeuvrable machine, in order to give enemies a rough time. Someone, who does not want to commit oneself to those opportunities, can switch freely during the game, thus he/she can have tactical influence on proceedings.
