Well, Test Subject LLC. has brought this feature to the table as an optional feature, which could be added to their upcoming game

So, as Texas has explained here, this feature is currently developed for FPS games, yet, it can be brought to the RPG scene as well, which I, personally, find pretty useful so that you can focus on the keyboard while playing, leaving the camera movement functionality to the movement of your head.
