Hi Evrey one

i need help with setting up server


when i load the client and try to log in its says "Server is down" what the problem can be ?

did u edit the s1,w1, and worlds.dat according to your server name and IP??
if u did not..then you should do that to be able to connect to the database..

ok so i made it work dont know how
if some one can explain me how to edite rightr the s1 and w1 and the world.dat
it will help me alot

To open the s1 and w1 files u need a program called Flash decompiler Trillex then you edit them to the name of your current zero server.. if you need more help try looking at the thread [guide] how to make a private zero server

the first thing i did was to read that guide ,
its not explaining realy good what to do

well what i know thats what my friend did and it got working ..just a few lil' tweaks he got left .

first edit your world.dat you will need to use a hex editor or very carefully use notepad ++ (you cannot use regular notepad as it will not show null)
you will see that in your world.dat that it refers to the ip address of your server and the w1/s1 etc flash
take note the number which it says here it may not be w1/s1 maybe w1/s2 or another number you can change it if you like as well
okay now copy the server name from your world.dat and put it in to the flash
done this process should take about 5 minutes remember to save copies of your files before you edit them in case u have errors

thx idle i just started it will take a some time to learn it and start fixing the server files
so if you can help with teaching me it will help alot

btw do you have good hex editor i use xvi32 and its not realy good editor

UltraEdit (UE) prob ur best choice.

I disagree i used it once then Shadow showed me UltraEdit it is 10x better.
