Welcome to the world of warcraft, I have started this WOW Starter guide to provide information for new game players to the most acclaimed Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG) in the world. You will find helpful tips in playing this massive multiplayer online role playing game, giving you the edge to level faster, earn more gold, maximize your profession and enjoy the full game.
When selecting a character or an avatar to create in World of Warcraft, there are plenty of choices you can find. There are ten races and nine classes available in the game, but the game’s primary selection comes to character or avatar creation is the faction you will be fighting for. This will determine the side of the group you will be in. You can join either Horde or Alliance, and your selection will have an impact on what your character can and cannot accomplish in the Warcraft universe.

The two major factions in the World of Warcraft are the Alliance and Horde. The Alliance is mainly comprised of the following races;

Humans of Stormwind City located in the northwestern Elwyn Forest in the continent of Azeroth.
Dwarves of Khaz Modan, in which the kingdoms capital is Ironforge located in northern Dun Morogh.
Gnomes, which were relatives of Dwarves had their capital in Gnomeregan in the western Dun Morogh, but due to the invasion of Troggs they have to transfer to Tinker Town inside Ironforge.
Night Elves of Darnassus which lives in the shadowy forest of northern Kalimdor. Their main city is located in Darnasuss off the coast of northern Kalimdor.
Draenei of Exodar, refugees of the eredar race have their capital in the Exodat located in the western portion of Azuremyst Isle off the coast of Northern Kalimdor.
And the Horde is composed of the following races;

Orcs of Durotar, surviving orcs of Azeroth, have made their capital in Ogrimmar located in Durotar.
Tauren of Mulgore have made their capital in thunder bluff in mulgore.
Trolls of Darkspear have their main camps in Sen’Jin Village and some have taken refuge in Ogrimmar at the valley of spirits.
Undead of Lordaeron which lives in Undercity as their capital is situated in the trisfal glades.
Blood Elves of Quel ‘ thalas, former high elves have made their capitl in Silvermoon City in the Eversong woods of northern Quel’thalas.
