Every MMOG that has ever been made have had forms of player associations. From Planetside?s outfits to Star Wars Galaxies? PA?s; it has been a form of encouragement for player rivalries and competitions.
World of Warcraft?s guilds are created quite simply by typing /guildcreate [guild name]. That wasn?t so difficult now was it? Moving right along, the guild?s ranks are the following (In ascending order):
5) Initiate
4) Member
3) Veteran
2) Officer
1) Leader
Officers and Leaders are able to remove members from the guild. The Leader?s ability is to be able to disband the guild or change the ranks of others.
Here are a couple of guild commands:
/g ? sends a chat to guild members
/ginfo ? information about your guild
/o ? officer chat
/ginvite <player> - invites the player to join
/gremove <player> - opposite of the above command
/gpromote <player> - promotes a player in the guild (rank-wise)
/gdemote <player> - the opposite of the above command
/gmotd <message> - sets the MOTD. This can be viewed with /ginfo
