Escape persuing Mobs

This is a trick that has worked since day 1 so I don't know if its already been posted.

If you are fighting creatures and find yourself in a "no win" situation, there is a way to seemingly run away faster so that you can outrun said creatures every time.

When you run away, rapidly strafe from left to right as you run. I'm talking quarter of a second to one second between switching strafe directions (obviously whilst moving forward at the same time.)

For some reason, this screws up the pathing of the mobs that are chasing you and allows you to get a good lead on them so they cannot hit you.

This dosn't work as well for mobs with spells or range as they can just shoot you, and if you get some kind of slow effect on you, its not going to help.

This has saved me thousands of corpse runs in all my levelling experience and will hopefully get you out of some bad situations too.
