Hi
Nice project redcrusher. Thanks a lot. We are waiting source codes...
I have got a new project and some parts are similar to "WOW Packet Decoder". And waiting for some help. I would like to write a proxy application special to WOW.
[SERVER] ==> [PROXY] ==> [WOW CLIENT]
[SERVER] <== [PROXY] <== [WOW CLIENT] *1
My proxy application runs between WOW client side and server side communication. For now i can see all packets. In the future i am planning to send new actions via my proxy(*1). Therefore i must solve packet encryption problem. Begining of packets has got 6 byte encrypted data. Encrption algorithm is open. But i can't find 40 byte encryption key. Is there any key exchange mechanism? Can i catch encryption key?
After solve encryption problem, my proxy application do this:
[WOW Client] ==> Read Packet,Decode Packet(with key),Reencode Packet(with key),Send Packet ===> [WOW Server]
When i want to make a new action, proxy application do this:
[ACTION DATA] ==> Encode Packet(with key),Send Packet ===> [WOW Server]

I've started a WoW proxy too... enginkuzu, look at Ascent source, it should have it.
Currently, I'm at replacing the realm info, with local ip
I parsed the packet, and simply put it in a hashtable for now
Code:
Realm: Greymane IP: 63.241.255.56:3724
Realm: Archimonde IP: 206.17.111.34:3724
Realm: Korgath IP: 12.129.225.11:3724
Realm: Detheroc IP: 63.241.255.66:3724
Realm: Nazgrel IP: 72.5.213.6:3724
Realm: Shadowsong IP: 12.129.233.97:3724
Realm: Bloodscalp IP: 12.129.233.7:3724
Realm: Nordrassil IP: 72.5.213.59:3724
Realm: Laughing Skull IP: 206.16.23.66:3724
Realm: Nathrezim IP: 12.129.233.51:3724
Realm: Shadow Council IP: 12.129.233.20:3724
Realm: Ghostlands IP: 206.16.147.96:3724
Realm: Duskwood IP: 206.17.111.50:3724
Realm: Medivh IP: 206.16.23.49:3724
Realm: Thrall IP: 206.17.111.58:3724
Realm: Anub'arak IP: 72.5.213.105:3724
Realm: Suramar IP: 12.129.233.2:3724
etc...

Well, the decoding works I guess.
There must be a conversion error somewhere. The All tab shows packets (not just wow packets but all). Under the "Error" tab I can see most of the guild msgs, and some whispers. but thats it. Rest of the displayed "New msg"s are bogus strings.
