Steps:

1. Get 2 different items that look similar but are VERY differently priced (I.E Sash of Mercy and a Grizzly Belt)
2. Say in trade "Selling 'insertitemhere' Cheap!!! PsT!"
3. Sometimes you'll get an offer, sometimes people will ask how much. If they ask how much say something cheap yet realistic. I said 50g for the sash.
4. If they offer, ask for somewhere around 5-10 more gold for the item, haggle until you get the deal. (Sounds like your not scamming)
5. When the deal is set, meet them somewhere and LET THEM OPEN TRADE
6. Instantly put up your item x (Sash of Mercy) Then wait for them to put up the gold. After they put up the gold wait for 2-5 seconds.
7. SWITCH the x item with the y item (Sash of Mercy for Grizzly Belt) in the trade screen.
8. Click accept as fast as possible and hope they accept!
9. Log out, wait a few mins, log in, send $ to main, delete the char, enjoy!
I think you get warned but I cant promise because i dont know how often you did scam someone and I dont know how much warnings you have until that time.
Well, someone did the goldswitch scam with me and apparently they got a warning and I got the item back, (Warning was a 72 hour suspend, their last of 3 before a ban). Because this is basically the same thing, although its slightly improved imo, you could probably get a warn/ban (Assuming the person told me the truth about getting warned).
