Already said it is like there would be a rougue you can't see them if they are invisible and you can't track them.
But you can try it out ^^

when a GM so called "disapears" there info (call it what you want) is till there...the client must know that it is there somehow. it just doesnt disapear from the client and looses connection.
|
...
The client doesn't know when an invisible GM stands next to you
Ach ich gebs einfach auf, der Typ ist zu lol

Its possible but think.
Blizzard Dev #1: "Should we let the players know when our gms are around?"
Blizzard Dev #2: "Would be good, so they can know where we're hiding"
Blizzard Dev #3: "Yeah nice, let's include it. So they can check it when they are botting and they can make an app to chicken out of the game!"
Maybe it's possible but I dont think so.

i havnt tried it yet, but have you ever tried adding a GM to your friends list?
when he says "Hi, i am Gm ..... may i have a word please?"
any1 tried that? lets say that wrked for example, then tyou cld "see" where the Gm is in the world, and possible avoid that spot fer botting.

you can add a gm as your friend.. i did it with many of them, but there are alliance and horde gms... you can only add the gms who are in your faction, but not the gms from the other faction... the big problem is, that the gms from the other faction can observe and talk to you, too :P

i just want you to see the posibility that it can be done. And maybe there is someone out there that can consider doing it.

first of all sry for my english.....
afaik when a Gm disappear the Server stops to transmit postition etc to ur client, that means u can modifiy ur client in any way u want, if ur system not achieve info/data about that gm and how he manifests on the server and specially ur client u will not able to see or track it......in an usual way
to get this info in an illegal (illegal in this case means not just modify ur client) way u had to made a hack on the serverside i guess and this would be a though ride.....
I dont think its possible but hey if u to believe on it prove us

yeah its possible to track gamemasters.
just have a warlock join your group and make him give you the "detect invisibility" buff. now you can see them.

He is telling the truth.
The only way it would not be possible is if the <GM> left the game. Which, they don't. Thay are spying on you.
But, the fact is, you are able to track them. But, the matter is, how much work would you have to do in able to track them. My guess, is you'd have have to jump into the '.exe'. Which is a daunting tsk for most.
The thing is, my guess, is that it is close to impossible. Just because of the way the engine works to "cloak" he <GM>.
