Eterhost will absorb the spanish hosting provider Sous with the aim of providing better service to our customers. Sous has been providing dedicated, shared and vps hosting to spanish speaking customers for the last year.

The migration of the 60 Sous customers to the Eterhost platform will become effective as of 31st, October 2014. For Eterhost customers, there will be no effect.

How much per extra ip?

Hello, we resell most of OVH's dedicated range but our web hosting and VPS products are set up by ourselves and not resold (although they do run on OVH infrastructure, to be precise in profesional range hardware, as OVH has currently the best DDoS protection within a reasonable Price range)

The price for an extra IP in a VPS is 2€/month, we do not currently offer dedicated IPs for web hosting. As for dedicated servers, there's currently no surcharge over OVH fees for IP addresses, although that could change in the future.

Second, the reason for the prices is that you get support and a wide range of payment methods (Paysafecard, Bitcoin, Sofort, uKash, MoneyGram, etc). These payment methods have fees: 10%, 20%, even 30% for some of them, whereas OVH only accepts Paypal and Credit Card which have a fee of around 1%.

I might get support from you but you won't get support from KS / SYS (at least KS, SYS offers some kind of support but its still OVH, which sucks). In case of hardware failures, which are kind of likely due to the fact that KS is selling "second-hand" hardware, you and your customers will have to wait at least 1 week for a replacement, sometimes up to 2 months.

Actually OVH has a SLA of 4 hours for hardware replacement on failure, which is automatically monitored, and this in all the brands, Kimsufi and Soyoustart included.

OVH has its drawbacks but hardware issue support isn't one of them.
