Method 1:
Remove all the traces of .Net framework from your computer and then install .Net framework components through Windows Update or by a standalone package and check.
Method 2: Repair the .NET Framework and check.
Repair the version of the .NET Framework that did not update and check.
.NET Framework 4:
a. Close all applications.
b. Click Start, open Control panel, and then click Add or remove programs.
c. Double-click Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.
d. Double-click Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.
e. Select Repair .NET Framework 4 Client Profile to its original state, and then click Next.
f. When the repair is complete, click Finish.
g. Click Restart Now to restart your computer.
