... this time I'm not gonna pre-purchase for anything.
Once a working cheat is released I'm going to invest again.

Yeah, this is basically it. If nobody pre-pays then there will be no more issues. I'm kind of tired of people blaming them losing their money when they were the ones who purchased something that wasn't finished or released yet.
