I am unable to resolve the VAN9005 error on my Windows 10 PC. Both VBS and HVCI are disabled, but the error still persists. The BIOS mode is set to UEFI

Vanguard requires Secure Boot + TPM 2.0 when running on UEFI
Enter your BIOS/UEFI and make sure:

Secure Boot is Enabled
TPM 2.0 is Enabled (sometimes called "PTT" on Intel, "fTPM" on AMD)

Double-check Core Isolation / Memory Integrity

Powershell command also use this again: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
Then go to Windows Features (OptionalFeatures.exe) and turn OFF:
Hyper-V
Windows Hypervisor Platform
Virtual Machine Platform
Windows Subsystem for Linux

If above doesn’t fix it, check BIOS:
Intel Virtualization (VT-x / VT-d) Try toggling OFF and test
Sometimes Vanguard conflicts if VT-d is enabled

First of all, thank you for your response. My PC doesn’t support TPM 2.0, and everything was running smoothly until I changed the BIOS settings from LEGACY + UEFI to UEFI and enabled SECURE BOOT. Since then, I’ve been getting the error, even though I reset everything back to the original settings.

Strangely, I also can’t enable HVCI anymore; it keeps turning off after every restart.

If your pc doesn’t support tpm disable vbs and it should work

Is a reset via Windows enough? or must it be a new windows installation ?
