Based of your motherboards nic, windows reads your mac from there like any hardware component, although there is a certain tie to the HWID that certain anti cheats use to detect your hardware if that's what your asking.

Mac's NIC's can be easily spoofed if you know what your doing without the need to buy a full pc just to play a certain game that bans you for it.
