One element that Microsoft is positioning as core to Windows 11's whole package is the Trusted Platform Module (TPM 2.0). Here's an explainer of exactly what TPM's doing and why, but one important aspect of it is: it makes life a lot harder for bad actors and means that if a specific piece of hardware or device ID gets banned, you can't just make up a new one and continue hacking away.

If I cannot change my HWID, I am personally identifiable by that machine.
Well, as a hardware engineer, I can confidently say that changing a serial number or device ID will always be possible and should technically be safe when software reads it, or in this case w11 tpm. This new 2.0 TPM surely will impact spoofers in particular though..

Given that the new TPM binds a specific value, it could be said that any HWID using only that value, is identifiable.
You would need to swap out your entire MB to essentially change your trusted id
can't you just hook the TPM and change the serials like any other hardware?
No TPM 2.0 is tamper-proof as far as I am aware, so no hooking (otherwise malware would)
You will need to replace your motherboard entirely or bypass the usage of the module on installation of W11

Can't you just downgrade to win10 - spoof MB - upgrade to win 11?
I do believe so yes but as this will become standard on PCs everywhere, reversion will become less of an option down the track.
So then it would require you to format, downgrade then upgrade.
And as I mentioned, if they remove that from the registry, then what options are we left with? Running an outdated windows machine or finding a way to spoof the TPM.
Hence the thread, I'm sure if we put our collective minds together, we can overcome this before it becomes a real issue.

that's a very interesting article, who are these secret club guys? they seem to know their **** DRM is a scary concept but PS5/Xbox's don't really have cheats like ESP/AIMBOT so I can see why Microsoft is doing this

TPM? 05/10/2013 - Main - 2 Replies Ich habe einen Aion Acc geworben der Trade war super der Verkäufer meinte der Acc sei clean und es wurde noch nie etwas illegales an dem Account gemacht !
So nun bekam ich eine Mail und wurde gebannt wegen Geldhandel.
Natürlich habe ich sofort ein minus Trade Bewertung gegeben nun hat er dies aber auch ohne Grund nur als Rache.. ich habe nichts gemacht er hat seine 25 € fertig... was kann ich nun machen möchte kein negatives haben !
