There definitely would be for very little grip. Other racing games have it and people have literally competed at the highest level of esports before being caught. 1-3% grip would be insanely hard to spot as tire wear/temp can cause that to be variable and not easily detected. There is without question a market for it, if top racing teams IRL are caught cheating yearly I would imagine people that have the money for simracing especially iRacing would be happy to pay for a slight advantage. I get where you are coming from but, definitely could see it working like any other cheat. If you aren't ridiculously obvious you would go undetected for a long time even at higher levels.
