HDD grinding noise
Hi.Nice to meet you all.
I have a critical problem with my PC.i Have 2 IDE HDD's-1x40Gb and 1x160Gb.
My problem is related to the secondary 160Gb drive.Recently (3-5 days) it started to do a grinding noise once in a while.Along with it came 10 seconds of incredible lag on the PC followed by a freeze. The only solution is to restart the PC.
Earlier i got the chance to get the grinding sound while i was looking at the task manager.I noticed that the CPU dropped form an activity of 40-70% to like 1-5% until it froze.
As i have red on a few other source it might be caused by some bad sectors.
Well i have used the official Seagate software to scan the disk and it didnt find anything wrong.Did the same with a few other softwares and i got the same "clean" result.
While my little brother has been playing a game(i think Zuma or something like that) the hard started to do grind after grind without stopping-until i told him to restart.
Now this is happening very often which is really irritating.
I have to mention that i had this same problem after 1 month after i bought the HDD.I took it to them and they did a scan and didnt find anything but they formated it just in case-and it worked.
I have also scanned, formated, rescanned and the results were still "clean" but it kept making the grinding noise.
Sound description:its a sound that its really just like the word "GRIND".It lasts for 1 -1,5 seconds.
Please keep the "buy a new one advices" to your self-unlike others im not stuffed with 500$ banknotes.
Your support would be of great help.Thank you and have a nice day!

BUY A NEW ONE !
No joke man, HDDs arent that expensive, you get twice of the space you have now for ~$50.
If you don't want to loose all your saved data then buy a new.

ahem...just for you to get the idea...in romania ~50$ is about 1/4 of the average salary.romania cannot compare to other richer european countries :/
i cannot afford to spend 1/4 of my salary for a HDD that can be "repaired".i do have to pay bills and other stuff.
edit:the cheapest IDE drives of what i have searched in my near shops are around 80-90$ so that aint even close to what u said.

Grinding lvl 35-60

No matter how you slice it, grinding is the fastest way to level in WoW. Maybe not the most fun, but it is much faster than questing.
Now, I'd say the best time to start grinding wouldn't be right off - You can get to 35 very easily questing, but after that, it's more of a pain in the as.
There are various good places to grind, so there is some overlapping.
Unfortunately, this applies mostly to damage dealers of the melee variety. Mages and Warlocks may be able to use them, but I...

grinding ^^

If you’re not familiar with the word Grind (in the mmorpg sense) it means to do one task the most efficient way possible in a repetitious manner. At least, that’s how I have identified it with over the years. In the context of this article I’ll be relating the grind to a group activity as opposed to solo. I’ve always been a big grinder in any mmorpg that I’ve been involved in. I’m usually the highest level on my server, but alas, nowadays I’ve made the switch to the casual gamer. However, the...

Grinding lvl 40-50

Level 40-44
Head over to Tanaris and kill the Wastewander Thieves. This is the most efficient levels i have ever made, because you can turn in 5 Wastewander Pouches that the thieves drop fairly often in bunches of 5 to npc in Gatzegan to get 480xp, on top of all the xp you are gaining from the thieves. I only killed thieves at lvl 40-42 (only the bandits and thieves). Here is a link to exactly where i leveled off them http://i44.thottbot.com/m/b/wow_81522.jpg the white boxes in the left...

Grinding 58-60
04/28/2005 - World of Warcraft - 1 Replies
Hey,
well turns out my account was suspened, cause i "accidentally" said a bad word....lol...so anyways, i want to be able to reach lvl 60 as fast as i can once i get on...(i am lvl 58 druid now), so basically, i have seen all these guides about grinding and which mobs are good, however as the start to reach lvl 58-60 they all seem to dwindle down to nothing.
So my question is, which mobs die quickly/are good grinding mobs for a lvl 58 druid to get to 60 on. All input would be greatly...
