[Suggestion] [POSTING] After posting I should see my post even if it's about to be reviewed

I just posted my first post and it dissapeared. I suppose that first posts from users are first moderated to ensure user isn't a bot or spammer. But still I should have some sort of indication that the post is somewhere.

I can imagine many users post duplicate posts because they just think the post wasn't received at all (same idea now scares me too, it was a long post).

If it was a release then, yes, it's being reviewed by Moderators to ensure its security.

I wasn't asking about any particular post. I was merely pointing out that the forum lacks any kind of feedback regarding this matter - I can never know whether moderator decided he doesn't like my post or if it's still pending.

If you encounter duplicate posts in the review queue, this may be the cause. Other websites tend to display the post only to the author until it's reviewed.

Also if your moderators review posts for scam/virus reasons, the let a lot slip through according to my observations. There are still links to viruses in the board where I posted.

Don't take these criticisms personal, I'm merely trying to make some constructive feedback. I have reported all the threads with obviously harmful content.

You are right, even with the supervision from the Mods, some posts do contain this kind of infected stuff but, we already mentioned that whatever you use is on your own risk, we can't guarantee that everything is safe just by scanning it, others could just be false positives. However, you can check your thread state by contacting the section Moderators, just ask about your thread and they will reply asap.

I don't want to annoy them just because of my thread - it was already accepted actually. Just wanted to suggest feature.

Regarding infected stuff - one thing is when moderators do not notice. Other thing is if the ban the user but keep his infected threads. Maybe that's another topic for another thread though.

There's nothing such as 'Annoying them'. They're basically doing their job, since you're not asking for non sense or wasting their time, then there's no problem.
About the infected stuff, usually after the user is banned for spreading malwares, the links are removed, even though, they're humans, sometimes they forget to remove the links so if you came by any of those threads/posts, report them and I am sure they will handle them.

That's one thing which annoyed me too when working with vBulletin. Unfortunately there's no option for it natively, we'll take a look, but not too soon.
