MySQL Connecter .NET(need for compile)


Media Patcher and Venice Client runnable

Installing and Downloading the OceanCycle Emu
first you must have downloaded and installed TortoiseSVN

make a foulder and call it OceanCycle, then right click on that foulder
and click SVN Checkout
type
then click ok
wait for it to finish downloading
you know have the emu in C# code

Configuring OceanCycle DataBase
you have to of installed MySQL and SQLyog
open SQLyog and connect,
make a database called OceanCycle then click file then click open
goto Branches\1.157\Database then open the database
click on the DOUBBLE green arrows
then you should have the data base installed

now we need to open the database table server right click it then change the info
DONT CHANGE THE FIRST 2 COLUMS
ok click the save icon then your done

you can also change the info in charter and account(its not hard to figer out)

Compileing and Configering
you must have Microsoft Visual C# 2008 Express Edition downloaded and installed

open your OceanCycle file goto Branches\1.157\GameServer
now RIGHT click on Server.cs and click open with Notepad
press Ctrl + F and find
Code:

Database.Connect


then you will see
Code:

("127.0.0.1", "sro", "root", "748596001");

change that so it has
Code:

("127.0.0.1", "SQLDATABASENAME", "SQLUSERNAME", "SQLPASSWORD");

click file then click save

now click on gameserver.mvs
Visual C# 2008 Express Edition window should pop up
click build, then click build solution
then wait for it to finish
once done it should be in the file Branches\1.157\GameServer\ debug or release

do the very same with serverlogin

Client Connecting
you must use a client thats ver 1.150 to 1.160 ONLY
you will need to download the client from normal means...(silkroad website)
copy Venice Client runnable to silkroad folder(must use this runnable to connect)
open media patch and put in the IP in both then click patch now it will connect to that IP

F.A.Q.
Q. my client frezzes!
A. press Alt + Ctrl +Del then start the client agen

Q. why wont the commands work?
A. they dont work on ver 1.160 they will on ver 1.157

Q. There isnt any server shown for the Server List. And i have change all their server id's from 0 to 1 and up

Yo. I tried to work with this but i get an error when i try to compile it with C#

The error is as follows:

Thats with the Serverlogin... with the other one i get the same thing.

Im missing the mysql.data component...

okay. When i try to connect to my database (ever since i started the emu for the first time) i get this error.

"Error No. 2003
Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061)"

I figured my service got closed or deleted somehow (I'm not a SQL expert.) So i went into MySQL to recreate the service and i get this error "Could not start the service MySQL"
I tried starting it with MySQL4 and all the other service names and it didn't work. I know that the SQLyog and My SQL errors are related to each other and i believe something in the emulator files, or Exe ****** up my database service.

It worked fine until i started the emu for the first time. And the Emu didn't work, i probably changed something wrong in the server config so they didn't show. In any case i really need to get this problem fixed, I'm working on an Eve Online emulator and i need to be able to access my databases and with out being able to connect to it i can't run my emu, nor can i add to it. Does ANYONE know what the issue is? I'm running Vista, i ran everything as administrator. (Don't really have to i have UAC off but I did anyway.)

Again, this all started after i compiled the solution in C# then it all went to **** when i started the Exe.
