[GUIDE] Mutliplay for DSREmu (will work with others)

Guide for setting up Multiplay for emulators.
Difficulty level:Mild

This is a universal guide. It worked with all emulators I tested.

If you want my advice use one of these emulators:
DSREmu - this one is the best one I know.
Not sure how it's called.

NOTE: This guide is made for dsremu. But it'll work with others.

Follow this tut step by step, and you'll do fine.

I've spend about 3h last day messing aroung with this thing. And the things I found out are these:

• You CAN all connect to one server
  • You can fight one mob, as long as you don't use skills.
  • You cannot PvP
  • Only you (the host) can use skills
  • It will crash very, very often

OKEY, now to get it working

1st, to get the tool needed.
You will need Log-Me-In Hamachi in order for your mates to log in.
Hamachi download link ->

2nd, just follow the instructions on their site, and make a network. And get all of your friends to connect to it.

You should have something like this:

Green button means the person is connected

3rd, OKEY Now, When You connect, You see a LARGE IP on the top of the window(I suppose you know what an IP is by now...)
Copy that, you are going to need it. Now, go to:
Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
and open it. And enter YOUR HAMACHI ip into it.

For me it is like this:
5.224.220.176 gwgt1.joymax.com
5.224.220.176 gwgt2.joymax.com
You just enter your Hamachi IP instead of mine.

4th, now you have to config the server IP. You must set it to your HAMACHI IP. Each emu's IP is set differently. Some are set with the emu program, the other with .ini editing. You have to find the IP setting yourself.

FOR DSREMU,go to your DSRemu folder and open config foder. Inside there is only one file. Open it.
And change the 127.0.0.1 to your HAMACHI ip. (The SAME you entered to hosts file)

5th, Now here is the part where your friends have to work their asses off
Make them go to
Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\Hosts
And make them enter the same thing you did. YOUR hamachi IP.

They should now have the same thing as you.

6th, That's it! All you have to do, is to copy the cracked sro_client, and your mates have to do the same. All that remains is you to start SRemu.

Now, IMPORTANT THINGS:
THEY MUST NOT start their sremu. Just use their cracked client, and IF they edited their hosts, and you are all connected to one hamachi network, it'll work.

YOU MUST create the account for them. All I did was copy the premade acc and name it sremu2. And I used dsremu, my mate used sremu2

yes. You can use direct IP connect.
You just put your internet IP instead of hamachi one. But Hamachiis better, because there is no problems with ports.

You probably don't use a router. But routers are ****, when it comes to gaming. MANY port problems. That's why hamachi is better.

(Don't get me wrong, I know how to make a no-hamachi connection)

Right is that:

If you use Hamachi, you don't need to open a port.

When I tried it, with DSremu, only I (the host) could use skills. If anyone else used any skills (those which worked) the emulator crashed, resulting in a dc of all connected to the server.

Yes if you all just attack one mob, everything crashes..
But there is an way..
My little team worked 2 days on it, to find it out^^

That is because you don't have a router. Now stop being a jackass and keep posting you can do it without hamachi...

Hamachi is the idiot-proof way, direct-ip isn't.

Lyzerk 4 days i try to put the SremuDatabase.mdb in navicat or SQLyog but i see i must use MSSQL how can i put this in Mssql omg is so hard if you can link a good databese for this i will be happy and if you have an yahoo id pls add to talk about some donation etc if you want!!!!! thx sorry for my very bed english
