Can we talk about the absolute clown show that is the Silkroad private server scene?

Every other day, some fresh account with 0 posts, no history, no reputation, suddenly appears and announces a “new” server. And surprise, surprise, it’s just another copy-paste low-effort cash grab. They launch the server, squeeze out whatever scraps of donations they can from hopeful players during the first 1-2 weeks, and then poof, either the server dies, or it gets rebranded and relaunched under another name with the exact same files and broken promises.

It’s like the whole Silkroad section on Elitepvpers is eternally frozen in time during 2008 era all over again. Blind hype, no scrutiny, and zero standards. Are people just nostalgic to the point of brain rot, or are we really this gullible after 15+ years of this same cycle?

just because an account has history doesn’t mean it’s the only one allowed to launch a server. The filter, database, and everything else have been built from scratch. Don’t compare us with other servers or individuals. As long as there are players, we will not shut down the server. Focus on your own server this kind of comment is not appropriate under a server advertisement thread.

How is calling out a very real and ongoing issue in this scene not appropriate? If anything, pretending everything is fine and silencing criticism is what’s actually hilarious.

You said: "Don’t compare us with other servers"

Why not? Every other new server makes that same tired claim: "we’re different", "we built everything from scratch", "we won’t shut down", yet, 95% of servers vanish in 1–2 months after cashing in on hype and p2w brain rots. It’s a rinse and repeat scam cycle at this point.

If you’re so sure you’re different, then answer me this:
Out of 560+ servers launched this year, name 5 servers launched this that lasted more than a few months. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

You can’t, because this entire scene runs on empty promises and player amnesia. You’re not getting unfair hate, you’re facing the consequences of the community being fed up with the endless parade of low-effort, recycled servers run by people who vanish the moment donations dry up. (Let's not mention fake playercount servers employ when real playercount dies down).

Writing these under our promotion post won’t gain you anything. Keep your prejudiced attitude somewhere else. About 80% of the messages you’ve sent in the past are about criticizing and creating negative impressions. The reason I say we’re not like other servers is that we don’t use the usual Maxiguard, Vsroplus, Kguardedge, etc. Everything is our own, and we’ve just created it. We’d appreciate it if you don’t post your baseless comments under our advertisement. We have no intention of forcing anyone to play; if it doesn’t suit your logic, then you simply don’t play.
