Try to run silkroad.exe as admin if you can't see start button.

For the people not getting start, you have to do the following.
Open your windows cmd and type ipconfig /flushdns
it should solve your start/logging in issue

Some people complains because too high, some other because too low. It won't be changed, it's fine as it is
