Did it seriously die? It had such high hopes. I really want to know if they did close it down or it's temporary till everything is fixed cause even their IRC is offline. Thanks for any info.

yes it did.

i had "some" hopes too but i never really believed it would be as great as they claimed.

official servers+bot=best sro experience of them all

Yeah...if silkroad would have so much (talented) fans as wow we would have some nice private servers now ..but I guess it needs some more years maybe.I can't wait for Tera online to get released,great game.

is not the fact of fans,
is just that ppl will create a pserver to get rich, not to have fun

kinda agree with you. I just started playing isro again and i must say all the turks on helios are annoying, so if someone talented were to start sro he/she would quit real quick. Turks even trying to impersonate gold sellers now.

Im sure many people had high hopes, for the past 2 years we had alot of screens, videos, and a quite stable open beta, but we also had alot of ''big talk''.
Making us excited each time they had some news, even if it was very small. We all got dissapointed and IF they ever decide to start again I will be with them but I don't think many people would take a risk to move to zelos

even if he codes the best emu on earth
even if he got the files(server one)
he will need money sooner or later

So true but it kills me inside

But thats the only way to uphold a server is to have some sort of income as it can become a second job to the owner or a fulltime job to a caring owner.

If a team of professional coders,let's say like the ones who actually work in this domain now coding for big game industry names they would probably get it done in less than 1 week then sell it to us or release it for our fun,so it's not about money here,wow is even more harder but someone did it or lets say cabal and so many others names there,so it is actually a matter of fans here but sooner or later they will all get old and released since many new and next gen mmos will get released and ppl will look up to them.
