I just want a simple old school server in which it's life expectancy, end-game content and replay-ability aren't locked behind paywalls. I don't want "new, never before seen" features which barely add anything to the base game. Neither do I want flashy, obnoxious titles for my character, or a modified premium+ which entices users to spend money in order to get a more significant advantage over people who don't (If you played iSRO prior to 2008, the best thing about premium, and main selling point, was the 1 try login).

I'm so bored of all these new systems that have been introduced over the past years. Coin systems, job systems you name it. They're all the same and follow the same type of precedent. The more money you spend on the game, the more gold you make through silk sales, the better gear you buy. This was never the case on the base game and never should be on private-servers.

What I'd like, which may be a bit dated now, is something similar to ECSRO VIP. A server which has genuine time & effort put into it, at the cost of a 1 time fee of purchasing an account. I don't remember the prices of accounts back in the day (I got mine for free, lol) but it certainly created a demand for them. And hey, even if this doesn't work, create a free & premium battle pass for all I care, in which the progress is determined by either quest points (For example, 5 daily quests which can earn you tier points), killing uniques, you name it. Anything that ISN'T gained by having the best gear in the game and beating others who don't spend.

If there's one thing that private servers don't understand these days is that the only people still left playing the game are either streamers, or people who now have full time jobs and pour all their money into the game because they haven't moved on yet. I'm yet to fully invest any time or money in a server for well over three to four years now, not because I don't like SRO, but because I don't like the way servers are created for one purpose, to squeeze the everlasting life out of it's community before they inevitably close for a 3 month vacation, then re-open under a new name.

Electus is cool, yes. Electus has many features, yes. Does Electus represent the psro community to claim that Electus will save PSRO?

I think that the community could use a new platform to share their servers on an IPB-powered forum with some cool psro features.

These forums are frozen in time, and I wish that I could comment my thoughts about their moderation without getting myself banned from here lol.

Wanna make psro great again? Make a site that lets people post their server, which lets streamers stream their game without fear of losing their twitch, which lets us put together all the releases that have been made before some P*****D*** delete them all bit by bit.

It would be really nice to have some private forum like DB7 specifically made for silkroad which doesn't ask you to recaptcha every time you reload the page by mistake.

I do not understand how money based servers like are supposed to help with that. Maybe you run out of ideas and try to join the "community" now, to get some free help.

Instead of creating a private space for information, you should simply make these ideas available for the whole community. A forum like this one could help, but ppl prefer to keep their information as private as possible.

I am quite sure there are enough small projects out here, with just few manpower and not a lot of money. They would profit from any information you are publishing here.

Also, if everybody is joining asingle project, it will be much easier for the game creators to shutdown single servers. If it is driven by multiple, smaler projects, it will be harder to shutdown everything.

From my opinion, it will be a big mistake to "contribute" into a single, money driven project.

New IDEEA -- just start from Gap 50 and every week or 2 move to level 60 = 70 =80..and so on and stop at 110(max) and stop be to much pay2win because all your server's was pay2win(to much) and stop use box system better from mob drop and a low rate..also do godsend for sp or for elixire's we wanna somnthing new not same system BOX SYSTEM .. and and change the exp rate like 5/10x max !! electus team are nice but we need smnth new ..

Pearl Online by Foberious had a very similar concept. Gold-based with very little usage of silk, just for cosmetics and such. It was quite a successful and long-term server, even with a slew of exploit issues and a starting population of only ~1000 players.

It would be awesome if a well-known psro brand could create such a server again.
