Open only if you really loved the FIRST Silkroad (2006)

Hello everybody!!!!
You are probably tired even just reading about Silkroad, but If you really loved (in the past) this gamem just take few minutes of your time and read what I am going to say.
I used to play Silkroad, in the beginning, on Xian (I guess it was the first server ever) and it was like 2005/2006, I was 15 yo about (I know I am old now, cause I am 30), and the game was simply magic.
Nobody knew about BOTS, cap was lvl 64, and just reaching lvl 32 just grinding by hands was crazy but it was so nice savor waiting for the next degree.
Seal of star was incredibly rare, som / sun were just impossible to have, if u had a +5 set u just would be one of the best of the server.
Doing jobs (trading / thiefing) was just wonderful.
Then everybody who is reading this post and arrived until here, perfectly know what happened later.
I stopped play SRO for a looong time, then I was back for a while, I tried some private and then I definitely stopped again, its few years I don’t play SRO.
But everytime I think about SRO, I just wanna remember the old good times and how much this game was nice.
Let’s get to the point!!!!
I know there are already many of them, but my intention it’s to create a private server of SRO, trying to throw all of us back to the freaking old good times, but If we want to do that I need the help of everybody and at least know if somebody would be interested in this.
I have just so many ideas but we need to choose all together how to set up the server, so these are the first things I am thinking about:

- EXP RATE: maybe 1X is really too hard, but if u think why SRO so long-lived is also that the exp was low and its because u should enjoy every degree of the server, not just botting until reach the max CAP. I played on many private server with 100X and it might be fun but after few months everything was so boring…..
So… maybe a 10X or even 5x could be a good idea? Hard but not impossibile. It must be long to reach high level, and ofc u can bot cause its just impossible to deny it, but if you love this game u will try to play without it at least first degrees.
One good idea can be to set max cap at lvl 64, and then open other caps 72… etc little by little so that we can enjoy more the game and be close of level each other.

- JOBS: I definetly want the old job system! But…… here it’s a good idea, trading and hunting will be on of the easiest and best way to make money and have a good sets. In the past jobs just gave not enough reward.

- WAEPONS: to get a sos / som / sun should be at least pretty hard, and even the max “+” should be at least in the beginning low (max +10)…… everybody love to have a sun+27 but when u have it so easy then the game is over! Let’s try to make a balance game also for pvp!

- EVENTS: we need to do some cool event, like pvp events (1v1) (2v2) (3v3), this is just an idea I had while writing.

- INNOVATIONS: ofc we have also to take something knew, we can't just stay with origins 100%


So guys just let me know what you really think about this!
Is somebody seriously interested in playing this server?

Well its really good idea. I had been thinking to start a server like that but after a while i stopped bcuz i realized there are no enough ppl who will have patience to play pserver like old silkroad. But i still thinking about the next project as cap 80 or even 90 without any edit and hard exp,drop, etc. But as i said maybe it wont be successful one bcuz old school players are not existed anymore

Verschwende nicht deine Zeit, denn solche Server gab es schon oft genug. Das Problem ist eigtl. das wir nicht das Spiel an sich vermissen, sondern die Emotionen die dieses Spiel in uns ausgelöst hat. Nach der Schule mit Freunden leveln und Pandoraboxen öffnen. Die ersten großen UNI trades, sowie die ersten SOX Gegenstände. Das Gefühl kommt aber nicht zurück, denn es war ein Lebensabschnitt von vielen von uns der leider vorbei ist. Jetzt ist es nur noch eine kleine Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit. Somit würde ich es sein lassen, denn am Anfang spielen viele Leute , Danach beschweren sich die ersten und entweder verlassen die den Server oder wechseln diesen. Danach ist das nächste Problem botten... Es gehört zu Isro wie das Armen in der Kirche, aber ehrlich gesagt hat es auch das Spiel seiner Seele beraubt. Abgesehen davon ist die Szene für den ***** ... Die Zeiten für Sro sind einfach vorbei... Für zwischendurch als Befriedigung der Nostalgie ok , aber dafür brauchst du kein neuen Server aufmachen. Nimm einen von den X anderen Servern dort draußen.

Do you know about the official cap raises back then? Lv64 cap was a thing? Not 60cap, 70 cap, 80cap etc?

I know mate, I played on Xian the first server and I was one of the first player there...Ofc I had no idea how to do anything so I made a bower with every mastery and mixing int and str... old gold times...

They destroyed p-servers with this box ****...Lets say you would like something like ECSRO there was hard to make +6+7 and only few people had some sun parts and weapons those were days !!

Infact in our server max plus will be low and enchanting will be extremely hard

it is indeed, working hard on it, but I merged my ideas and my self with an experienced developer team.
The grand opening is not that far.

For your reference, current 80 Cap server Sagaroad runs 1x rates with around 100 players online. The thing that sold me on the server is that SUNs were supposed to be available only via JOB DW Cave. Meaning a risk factor is put into the hunt for SUNs. You can bot there, sure, but you can die, you can loose stuff. If you want to get the best items, you have to be the best with how you spend your time there.

The server above has just gone shitshow due to GM not keeping his word. DO NOT recommend.

Things you think will work but won't:
- Forcing players to do activities at lvls other than max. - Back in 2006 no one enjoyed being oneshot. People still don't. We don't rush max lv for fun, we rush not to be dead the moment we set out foot outside Jangan while jobbing.
( I just had an idea of creating clone Maps with lvl limits, where you can only be with lv gap like 15, 23, 31, 41 etc. You could do Trades there. This way you could be lv 27 and still do proper Jobbing)
- Getting set parts from Jobs - another coin-like system. Won't work. People hate it as it only promotes activity grind - people with families don't have time for that.
- Botless grind - You wrote the very reason we bot yourself. You were 15 back then. Most of us are in our late 20s and 30s now, We are looking a for a silkroad experience having a 10th of time we had back then.

So yeah, think of a unique way to get top items. Like putting some risky stuff to do to get them. And consider the lone maps I described above.

Even if you only touch the game for 30min/day, you can still play without bot.
You will need way more time to achieve stuff but that is good for the longevity of the server anyway. Time (or lack thereof) is not an excuse to use bots.
